Cinema Mele, Italy
Cinema Mele is an old theatre perched on a cliff overlooking the Mediterranean in Pizzo, Calabria. I was invited to create work in the Spring of 2019. I made impromptu performances in public arenas - on the beach, in the square, upon rocks by the sea. The residency culminated in a group exhibition and large scale performance on the luxe stage of the cinema - using video projections as dynamic backdrops.
